Love Not the World
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. I John 2:15-17

The world has glamour. The world has a lure, but don’t be deceived. Satan is the prince of this world and he will not offer you anything for which you will not pay dearly. The lure of the world has a costly bite. When you embrace it, you walk away from the umbrella of God’s love into Satan’s snares.
The lust of your flesh, the attraction to what is evil, and the pride that comes from who you are and what you possess are your worst enemies. Do not love the world.
