Put Your Trust in God

3. Put Your Trust in God
It is easy to put our trust in people and to go through life leaning on others. Nevertheless, what happens when such people are no longer near or available to help? Where is our help? Is God trustworthy and can He stand with His children in tangible and meaningful ways for them to live fulfilled lives? How do we view God in the midnight hours when life is tough, and heartaches are deeply painful?
God is faithful. God is dependable. He is an anchor; the unchanging and stable Savior who will help you.
Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Jeremiah 17:5-6

Do not be deceived. Man, however strong and promising will let you down. Those who put their trust in the help of human beings get frustrated by God. God stops their schemes and brings their plans to ruin. They cannot prosper.

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”

Put your trust in God and watch Him prosper your plans.
