Why did God want you to live in the 21st Century?
Why are you alive today?
You are here for a purpose.
1. You Are God’s Special Creation
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Genesis 2:18
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. Genesis 2:21-22
In Genesis 1-2, God created the heavens and the earth; the light and darkness, the firmament and the waters, the vegetation and all the animals. He spoke these things into being.
Man was created different. With His own holy hands, God created man and woman. God breathed into our nostrils and it is with His own breath that we became living souls. You are God’ special creation.

2. You Are Created in God’s Image
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them
You are a result of the deliberate act of God’s will. You were in the mind of God from the beginning of time. You are not the result of chance. You are not the result of the will of a man or an animal either. God has created you after His own image. He has breathed in you His own breath.
God has put His stamp on you. You belong. You were created because you were needed. You are alive at such a time in history because God fashioned you for the times. He created you in His own image.

3. Give God What is Rightfully His
And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly: Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?
But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?
Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's.
And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's. Luke 20:21-25
The chief priests and the scribes tried to trick Jesus as they sought an occasion to lay charges against him. They received eternal revelation that forms the foundation for Christian living.
You are created in the image and likeness of God, therefore give God what is God’s and Caesar what is Caesar’s. You belong to God. Give yourself to God. Life’s greatest fulfillment is encased in how much of ourselves we give to God. You are God’s.

4. You Were Created with Purpose
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:27-28
When God created Adam and Eve, He did not leave them purposeless wondering what to do. God had a job for them. He had prepared a garden and a world to be dressed, replenished, maintained, and kept under control. They simply stepped into their jobs.
You were created with purpose. God wants you to be fruitful. Notice the first thing that God did after creating Adam and Eve. He blessed them. He wanted them to be fruitful. His desire has not changed. God wants you to go through life blessed and fruitful. Walking in step with Him will lead you into His great purpose.

5. God Wants You to be Fulfilled
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman….
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:1, 4-5, 8
God wants you to go through life fulfilled. He wants you to be fruitful. God does not want you to go through life empty, dissatisfied, and disappointed.
Your fulfillment and satisfaction are conditional. It has to begin in God. If you cannot abide in Christ, you will have to remain unfulfilled. Without Him you can do nothing. Obeying God is a deliberate act of your will. God’s desire is for you to bear fruit. It glorifies Him. It satisfies. It is fulfilling.
