Living by the principles that God has set and outlined in His Word will protect you. It will lead to a satisfied and fulfilled life in God. Let us learn to walk by such principles.
6. The Soul That Sins Dies
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. Ezekiel 18:4
“The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge” was a commonly used proverb in Israel implying that children were punished for their father’s sins. God resounded the truth of His Word as He reassured them that it is only the soul that sins that will die.
God does not hold you responsible for other people’s sins. You may be disadvantaged by the wrongs committed by others but you are held responsible for you own choices and actions. If you chose to walk in the sinful paths of your parents or forefathers, you will be guilty of the same sin and therefore liable to the consequences according to God’s order.
You are not obligated to follow a sinful path. It is a choice. You can be different regardless of what lifestyles have been exemplified before you. It’s the soul that sins that dies.

7. God Prunes His Children
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. … If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15: 2, 7-8
Trees do not yield much fruit unless they are groomed, nurtured, and pruned as required. You are a branch on Christ who is the Vine. God is not just pleased but gloried when His children bear a lot of fruit. That is the whole reason you are still in the world today—to bear fruit that abide.
Pruning calls for cutting and discarding what is undesirable as you make room for what is good and blossoming. God uses different means to prune those from whom He desires fruit. Some methods look harsh and are painful. Hang on. He is preparing for your fruit.

8. Be Mindful of Your Measures
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38
The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it. It is a privilege to serve God with what He gives us to freely enjoy. Be mindful how you do it. God has a way of weighing us in His balances through those He permits to come our way. Serve heartily, doing everything as unto God and not to man.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee Proverbs 3:27-28. Remember, God loves a cheerful giver. Watch the measure you use. God will reward you. Do it wholeheartedly. He has the power to keep your blessings running.

9. God Blesses His Children
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9: 8-11
You are blessed of God beyond measure. God has given you all you need and much more. Be generous and mindful of the needy. It is God that blesses the work of your hands so you can produce wealth. He gives you health, soundness of spirit and mind to labor wisely. He blesses your efforts and defends your cause so you can be enriched in everything.
You are blessed because God has been on your side. Let your heart overflow with thankfulness

10. The Wages of Sin is Death
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
It is not God’s desire that any man should be estranged from Him. God does not delight in the death of a sinner Ezekiel 18:23. It is His desire that all come to the saving power of His Son Jesus Christ. From creation, God has always given man a choice. Choices have consequences.
To choose the pathway of sin is to choose death. Sin it has been commonly said will keep you longer than you desire, cost more than you want to pay, and take you further than you intent. Sin will whip you more than any whip will and scar you more than any wound. Sin will wound you spiritually, physically, and emotionally. The ultimate cost of sin is death.
You don’t have to choose the way of sin. You can be made clean. You can live free from condemnation and the fear of tomorrow. Christ gives eternal life. Choose Him and live.

11. Salvation is for Whosoever
God has a place in His house for you. Heaven is for you too. Look at God’s promise. It includes you.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Man is born a sinner. You are not a sinner because you sin but you sin because you are a born sinner. There is no one who is born sinless. We are all descendants of Adam and Eve, patterned after their fallen sinful nature which is enmity with God. God has a laid out plan to reconcile us to Himself through Christ Jesus. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God, John 3:18.
It is not God’s will for any to perish. He has opened His redemptive plan to everybody. Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but will have everlasting life. God loves you. In spite of what you have learned, know that, salvation only comes by Jesus Christ. Believe in Him.

12. God Will not Withhold Good
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. Psalm 84:11
God is a light and a protector to His children. He is gracious and deals kindly as He sheds His mercy and glory on us. God does not withhold anything good from those whose walk is upright.
There is no reason for you to wander away from God or loiter in the camp of the enemy. There are no greener pastures outside the gates of God’s boundaries. Beware, what glitters may not be gold, and there may be an underlying sewer for what looks green. What looks like denial may be a loving gesture of grace and protection from God. Accept it and wait on God. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing, Psalm 34:10. God will not withhold good from you.
