• The cloud and pillar of fire that led Israel in the wilderness: The cloud and pillar of fire protected Israel from the enemy—giving darkness to Egypt yet lighting the path for Israel.
God’s presence will fight for you.
• God fought for Israel as His chosen nation crossed the Red Sea. His presence troubled the enemy, got the wheels of their chariots, stalled and frustrated their effort while He carried His children on eagles’ wings. (Exodus chapter 14)
God’s presence will take away your fears.
• When you have walked with Him; when you know Him; when you trust Him, your heart will be calm despite the times and the prevailing circumstances. You will take Him for His Word when He says, “Fear not, It shall be well, Let not your heart be troubled, Be anxious for nothing…” Look at His promises in the psalm below.
Psalm 91:1-5 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day
• God’s presence calmed the troubled breasts of the disciples as they sailed against the stormy sea in Matthew 14:22-27.

When God’s presence is lifted from a life, a home, an institution, a church, or a nation, judgment is pronounced. Note: The righteous suffer the consequences too and so do crops and animals.
Remember, you can have as much of God in your life, home, family as you wish. You are your own greatest hindrance to having God on your side to fight, nourish, protect, favor and provide for your needs.
No one accidentally walks with God. Will you purpose to walk with God and enjoy the benefits of His presence?
