14. Embrace the Holy Spirit
Our daily lives can be likened to a journey you take early in the morning that ends in the late evening. You do not start off anticipating traffic delays, roadblocks, unexpected eventualities or even missing the mark. However, all these are characteristic and realistic marks of a normal journey. Knowing how uncertain our futures are, God has given His children the Holy Spirit to live within our hearts. When God announced the coming of the Messiah, this is what He said of Christ, who would live in the hearts of the believers. “And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6b. God knew how desperate we would require the functions of these offices in our daily walk with Him.
These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:25-26

Do not neglect the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:5-8

The Holy Spirit helps you in your daily infirmities. He helps you pray even in moments when you do not know how to do it. Romans 8:26. He communes with you, teaches, and reminds you of Scripture, John 14:26.
